Question GeForce RTX 4060 performing worse than a GTX-1650

Got a RTX 4060 for my son's ACER Nitro N50-620 and it turn out that it performs worse that the stock RTX-1650 the PC came with. Got an OK from the Computer atore that the 4060 was fully compatible with the N50-620 but it doesn't seem to be a good fit. The PC has been previously upgraded with a new 1TB SSD and 24GB of RAM. The CPU is an Intel Core i5 11400F 6 Core 2.60GHz. We can't figure out what the problem is. Anyone with some tips or possible source of the issues? Is this card maybe too large for his setup? Is this mix causing some bottleneck? Thanks in advance!

which gtx 4060 exactly? power supply have the right pcie power cable?

Have you reinstalled the graphics drivers, or reset the BIOS since the upgrade?

He's reinstalled drivers but haven't reset the BIOS. Should he do the latter too?

MSI GeForce RTX 4060 8GB Ventus 2X Black OC. We use the only power cable available which was a 6 pin+2pin that stick together as an 8 pin
