It would be really nice if the article at least mentioned the principle behind a "shunt mod". No need to provide a step by step guide, but what is the mod actually doing to increase TDP?

Practicality aside, this is freaking cool.

You know what, even given practicality, with these external water coolers, why not?? They could probably cool an additional 100 watts easily!

We already tossed practicality aside when 5090 laptops start at $4500.
