Geforce Ti 4200 9 pin vivo, 8 pin?

I have and Gefroce Ti 4200 without the 9 pin vivo connector, my friend
just gave me a 8 pin ATI Aiw connector, and says it will fit in
geforce card, will it work?

just try it, If it doesn't fit in there physically, don't ever apply
force..
And dont worry, you wont break anything if it doesn't work.
