Geforce Ti4200....

I saw a Geforce ti4200 made by PNY, 64MB for £50, I am using a Geforce FX5200 (Winfast/Leadtek), its nosiey and slow. Overclocked it to 280/500DDR only getting 1200in 3dmark03.......
I am a poor FXXXER so should i go for this or wait?
Any advise????

The 4200 is a way better card, but is 50 Pounds more than $100 US Dollars today... if so, I would save up for something more... but how are prices where you are...

I would wait. Although that is a good deal, I dont think it would make enough of a difference over your current card to be worthy of £50. If it was a straight exchange then definitely, but since your paying quite a lot, I would wait to have a look at some of the budget cards of the next gen cards (i.e 6600 etc, thats what im aiming for).

Its hard to say. I would say you could get a 5900XT for less than $140 by summer. It depends on the demand. If the new 6800 is really expensive, people may opt for the 59XX series. So the price may not drop. If the demand is for the 68xx series, the 59xx series will drop. Just wait till the new cards come out.
