GeForce vs ATI

I've been looking at various video capture cards and it seems the ideal is the ATI All-In-Wonder 32mb DDR card. The problem is, I really want a GeForce 3 for my video card(or a GeForce 2).

Would I be better off trashing my dream of having a GeForce and just get the ATI card or is there a good stand-alone PCI TV card that I can purchase to go along with the GeForce? It has to have a TV tuner and composite and S-Video in and out.
What i really nee is a good card...the best if i can....with good video editing capability..as in capturing and editing....i CAN sacrifice the TV tuner if i have to

I believe the new ASUS Deluxe GeForce3 Card
has video in and out. But I'm not sure
how great this card is.
Also the card I have Elsa Gladiac Ultra
has an optional Video in&out module that
you have to purchase seperatly.
Hope this helps

Here ya go:

Now you can have both. Not only are these cards terrific in all respects, but the prices are reasonable, too. I know many people who use these cards for video capture, and/or to connect an external VCR/TV.

Check them out, and tell us what you think.

Pinnacle Systems has a Studio DC10+ which is a stand-alone PCI TV/capture card. I've heard good things about it but I've never used one. I've seen one at pricewatch for around $90 US.

I've got a Haupauge WinTV-PVR. Its not brilliant. The mpeg encoding quality isn't the best I've seen. Then again it is a all in one solution just around £200.

I think the TV Wonder (full version, not the VE) has all the features and capabilities of the All in Wonder, except that you need to use a separate video card. It whould work fine with your Geforce 3. I believe it has onboard MPEG2 compression, which would make it an ideal solution.
