In the early days it was very simple, you bought a VooDoo.
But what is the best in these days.

I want my card to have at least 128mb and money plays a very little role. I don't mind spending 200/300 on my graphic card, so i guess i have a lot of options

The absolute best money can buy for the upcoming games is a Radeon 9800 XT. The drawback is it only comes in 256 MB version which is going to be overkill for atleast another year. i would recomend the Radeon 9800 PRO 128 MB. You should find this one for around the 300$ rang.

Make sure if you do get a 9800, you don't get the 9800SE, because that's not even a 9800, in fact it's slower than a 9600 Pro.
