I thought the MX 400 was a considerable increase over TNT2 Ultra because of on board Texture and Lighting and other GPU features. Not to mention faster clock speeds.
I also thought MX 200 was the card that only got like 15-20% over TNT2 ultra. I could be wrong but I figured I'd throw in my two cents anyways.

You're hearing lies based on the truth. The truth is that the GeForce2 MX core is about 25% faster than the TNT2 Ultra, plus has additional features that can help raise your benchmarks by even more. But when nVidia released the MX200 and MX400 to replace the original MX, they pulled a fast one. The ORIGINAL MX became the MX400, the MX200 replaced TNT2 and TNT2 Ultra, which were dropped from the line, and the TNT2 M64 replaced the 128ZX.
They droped the TNT2 and TNT2 Ultra because these older cards made their MX200 look bad.
I got 3200 in 3D-Mark 2000 on a TNT2 NON-ULTRA, Diamond Viper V770, with a crappy CELERON system. The same system got only 2700 with the MX200. My TNT2 score can be seen at http://gamershq.madonion.com/compare.shtml?2067265
The reason the TNT2 outperforms the MX200 is because
1.) they have the same memory speed, 6ns SDR SDRAM
2.) the entire GeForce2 series performance is totally memory dependant
3.) the MX, MX400, TNT2, and TNT2 Ultra have a 128-bit memory path, while the MX200 and TNT2 M64 have a 64-bit memory path. So the MX200 has exactly half the memory performance of the crusty old TNT2.

What's the frequency, Kenneth?

Just pay a little more and get yourself a GeForce2 Ti. You won't be sorry.
