OK im an new at this type of stuff so please be kind and HELP!I recently bought a Nvidia Geforce2 mx400. It was cheep 150$and also was a stepp up from the vodo3 8mb i had.

Ok the question is: what is the deal with the twin view feature? nvidia web site says it enables u you to use diffrent config's of monitors and tv's at the same time.
Now if this is the case then why is there only 1 output on the card? is there an optional spliter for this?

generally speaking if there is no tv output on the card it hasn't got a tv out feature, nvidia don't make the cards, just the chips, so not all geforce2mx cards have all features of the chip implemented.

read the instructions that came with the card rather than the nvidia website.

thats the thing i had CompUsa install it, so all i have is the box and the installation guide. but i didnt know that nvidia only provided the chips.
It is made by PNY i guess thats the name on the box it also says Verto. Why would the twin view option be available in the settings if this card dosent have but one output?

the above link is the information page from the pny website, it doesn't mention any kind of tv out, and the driver link is just to copies of the latest detenator reference drivers. i'd have to guess that yopur card doesn't have a tv out but the drivers can't detect that for some reason. the pny site isn't much help but you could email their tech support to be sure.

you got a generic brand card, PNY is basically generic.
You have to buy a card that supports Twin View to get dual monitor support. Either it will have two svga outputs or one svga and one s-video out put. Some of the really nice cards actually have two svga, and one s-video so you can do what ever you want. If you want driver support with ANY product you have to buy major brand name, like Asus or Leadtek.
Its more expensive, but your product performs better, and you get the features you pay for.
