Building a gaming machine. Want the best video card I can get, but my price range might be limited. The system will be a 1.4GHz Athlon, using an Iwill KK266R motherboard. Which card should I buy, for best performance? I can probably spend up to $300. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

If you want the best gaming card, GF3.

Fast gaming card with your cpu - GF2Ultra/Pro and Kyro2

2d, video and very good 3d gaming (Best all around card, the Radeon 64 VIVO newer release, SE core 200/200 core/clock using 5ns ram).

There are many different aspects to a video card, from FPS to 3d image quality to 2d and video capability. If you weigh out what you want and need then you will have a better idea which one will suit you the best.

I'd go for a GeForce 3, if you can find one on an auction or something for around there. It'll work much better in the future than anything else around.
