geforce4 mx440 trouble

After building a budget computer for a friend of mine, I ran 3dmark2001se330, and got about half of what I should probably get. Here are the specs:

athlonxp 2100+ oced to 2700+ (1.65v)
512 pc2700 ram (7-3-3-2.5)
geforce4 mx440 agp 8x (aopen brand), agp 1.6v
other drives.
aopen 250w power supply
windowsxp pro (directx9.0, detonator 45.23)

It gets 3500 on 3dmark 2001 which seems ridiculously low especially w/ the overclock. If anyone can help PLEASE do!

Check if your AA is on or not and also, if your card is running at the correct agp speed. Did your mobo driver installed correctly as well? Maybe you want to try with different detoantor driver too...maybe try older one.

Nah, it's not THAT low. Are you sure he didn't get an MX440SE? Because if he did, those would be GOOD scores!

I turned AA off, performance settings for everything, no texture sharpening, no filtering.
I'm pretty sure it's not an SE, but even if it is, how can the scores be THAT low?
