Does anybody know when the GeForce4 Ti 4200 is coming out. And the Hercules GeForce4 Ti 4200?

The nVidia press releases say 1st week of March. Sooner in OEM computer systems.

Sorry, I got those details wrong. This is what the Feb 6, 2002 press release says about availability. I think I'm still correct about retail boards in week 1 of March.

"OEM systems featuring GeForce4 MX are already shipping, with retail board availability in the next two weeks. OEM systems featuring GeForce4 Ti will be available in 60 days, with retail boards available in 30 days. GeForce4-based notebook computers will be available in February."

I don't think Hercules will be releasing any GF4 cards, as they've signed a partnership with Ati.

It seems to be a very confusing situation regarding the Ti 4200. I've heard many reports that there will be such a card, but I haven't seen ANY board manufacturers announce plans for one. I might just end up pre-ordering a 4400 instead of risking the wait for the 4200 which will probably come out a significant time later, if it ever does.

i would stay away from the GF4 4200 seems the RV250 "Radeon 8800" should be clocked faster then the GF4 Ti4600 but be fast as a GF4 Ti4400 ?

RV250 is rumored to be $300. Also the Radeon 8500 should be getting to the $200 and its 2x faster then the GF4 MX460

I Love playing on my GameCube or PC cuz there both ATi powered...

The current R8500 should reach Ti4200 to Ti4400 after the fixed OpenGL ICD is released in the new upcoming beta drivers. Of course, this is OpenGL performance, not DirectX yet. ATI will eventually find a fix to get DirectX performance up to speed with nVidia's. The only current DirectX game that I know of that is slightly slower than normal is UT. I should be getting over 100fps on my system at 1024*768*32 but I get only 92fps.

Another weird thing about not hearing about the 4200 from board makers or retailers is that not even NVidia mentions a 4200 board. It is basically mere speculation that a 4200 will even come out to compete with the cheaper ATI boards. If you look at this address you will see that NVidia makes no mention of a 4200 board on their web site.
