Been ordering PC parts to put a build together soon with a 4070 Ti, i7-13700K and was just wondering if there's a difference between a gen 4 PSU and a gen 5 PSU? Specifically the Corsair RM1000x vs the MSI MPG A1000G. Will the RM1000x work just as good?

Yes it'll work but couple of things. Your 4070ti requires 16pin pcie, you'll need to use the adapter that comes with the card, converting 2x 8pin to 16. Should come with but check.

Atx 3.0 PSUs includes the new pcie 16pin standard cable, no adapters necessary then. Corsair Rmx Shift series.

I currently have the Corsair RM1000x sitting in the other room, was just wondering if I should trade it out for a gen 5 PSU but if it's alright I'll stick with it. Any cases you recommend? Was thinking O11 Dynamic-XL but not sure if everything will fit properly, like the GPU and it's cables

See key features. 2x 8pin to 16pin adapter included.

Or Mesh 3

Ideally you want intake fans to keep motherboard vrms cool.

I have Lian Li Mesh 2 performance and like it a lot.
