General Overclocking Performance

Does Overclocking really do that much for me? When I O.C. my CPU/MEM I get a 19% boost and my GPU will O.C. from 600hz to 725hz without stutter of screen problems. But am I really seeing a performance boost or is it all just in my head? Thanks guys and gals.

It's easy to understand if you run a benchmark tool.

You should see an increase in performance but it depends what you are doing its not going to send emails faster or download MP3s quicker, you should get higher FPS in games and encode files quicker, just a few examples.
