Generic INK cartridges for Epson printers

I am curious if using a generic brand of ink cartridge other then the recommended EPSON brand in eny way effect the quality of a print out?

I have problem with Generic Ink when I print pictures but text are fine.

I've tried the Korectype brand, and they seem okay. There is a small difference in quality though, I've noticed.

I use ink carts from Ink4Art and can see no difference with photos or text, from Epsons carts. BTW check techbargains.com some times Ink4Art has had a two for one deal going on.
