Generic MP3

Hello,
I have a generic mp3 player which charges from my laptop, but the laptop doesn't recognise it as a mass storage device! A local phone shop (Cambodia) told me they use software from pdshoot.com to download music to phones and mp3 players, but I can find it on the net! Help please!

Why not ask the local shop where they got it from?

It wasn't bought locally, but by a friend in Thailand on my behalf! I have discovered it's an Apple NR-9, but I can't find anything for that either!

I took my laptop and the MP3 to a local computer workshop and they found I already had the driver on the laptop, but it was switched off!!! Thanks to those who replied! Problem now solved!
