Under device manager both of my monitors are detected as Generic PnP Monitors. I've tried updating drivers, but to no avail. However, when I go to advanced settings under display they both show up with their proper names. Also 1080p videos look poor on my 1440p monitor in fullscreen. Otherwise they seem fine. Any help is appreciated,

Having your monitors listed in Windows as "Generic PnP" should not hurt anything as long as your graphics driver can see them fine. As for 1080p not looking good on that 1440p, those two resolutions are not compatible pixel for pixel and blurring is possible on some monitors because of it. 720p to 1440p is one pixel converts to four pixels, the same thing happens from 1080p to 4k. Problem is that 1080p does not convert to 1440p in a even pixel ratio so it can cause some blurring and that may be the problem.

Can I please bust in here?
Our device manager also shows our new cheap 1080p Asus 21" as a 'PnP' monitor.
Will we be able to continue using this monitor with the upcoming windows 11 os?

Thanks
