Generic usb joystick not working on pc

I have bought a new controller it look like this

it come with a disc and i installed the driver

in control panel>Device i can see my controller being connected and the key are working(responded with red light)

but when i try to play with it on dark souls 3 or any other games,it wont respond
i am able to play those game with mouse and keyboard without problem
tested it on windows 10(laptop) and windows 7(desktop)

I'm not too sure about Dark Souls , but there have been many games in the past that will only let you play with a 360 controller or keyboard and mouse.

With no support for other gamepads.
