Genuine XBOX360 controller?

I wanted to buy an Xbox controller for my PC so I can play racing games without a keyboard. I came across this one on eBay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-For-Official-Microsoft-Xbox-360-Wired-Controller-Windows-PC-Xbox-360/252898803124

I'm not sure if this is a genuine controller or not, there is a glossy black piece where the X logo should be. Is this fake or is this how it is supposed to be?

Oddly enough when you click the link it shows it as $35 but just click the used tab then back to new and it should be under $20.

It's not genuine. The product description says "Note:This is third Party Produce but not Original Micro Brand."

It may still work completely fine. It's not rocket science to make a controller.
