News Get $600 Off This Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 RTX 3060 Gaming Laptop at Best Buy

I'm not sure if I like these offers being promoted. Please consider not advertising them, as it lures unsuspecting consumers to buy this crap, at what should have been it's MSRP in the first place.

IMO, these laptops are a mismatched joke. The 3060 at 1080p will hardly ever get to 144hz/FPS on anything new , and without Freesync/Gsync it will be a stutter mess as the underpowered GPU and now average CPU, show how limited they are for new AAA gaming. Sure for esports, casual gameplay, and decent enough for most games. Just don't expect a nice experience with it.

This is purely a 'clear inventory stock asap', type thing. before the systems they are trying to pawn go past the point where they won't sell mainstream.

The laptop's display supports VRR, though it isn't well advertised. The 3060 is still a decent mobile GPU in this price range, as sad as that is.

This laptop has been at $899 or below at Bestbuy for about a year now so today's price is $100 below the normal price, not $600. The worst part of the laptop is the fact that 8GB of the RAM is soldered. Therefore, 24GB is the practical limit for this machine and speed will be halved after the first 16GB is used. 32GB would've been nice, especially since RAM has dropped so far in price recently.

That, and the silver key caps with white backlighting. Man, that was a stupid design decision.

The 16" version of this is sweet! We use them for office laptops. Take out the 8GB, drop in a 32GB, add a nice 1 or 2TB ssd, and it's good to go. It's also a lot less "girly" than this pretty little white one.
