I wish this Fry's place started up in NYC area...There is asbolutely NO real computer store here. It's either Muhammed's Garage PC Special or box stores like CompUSA.

The ASRock Vista from Asus supports PCIe and AGP, DDR and DDR2, so I guess its plausable.
They're probalby trying to make the transition from one setup to the less slightly less painful.

C2D isn't what supports or doesn't support DDR/AGP.
It's the chipset and motherboard.
Most boards/sets don't support legacy hardware.
There are a few however that'll support older DDR ram and AGP cards/interface.

there ARE only 2 memeory slots!
2x1gb=2gb
If you need more than 2gb then why would you even consider a budget system?
I mean you'd be paying more for memory than the rest of computer.
More machines will still run on 2x512.
I really wouldn't worry.

Sigh, you can never have enough memory...

I wonder if those can support 2 GB modules, then you can have 4 GB... albeit pay out the nose and ass for them.
