if you just look at those cord names for what their ends are youll be able to understand what i connected.

my tv has the hdmi end. i used the monitor's connection for the tv and monitor both at same time.

how do i get the audio and video to my tv of whats on my pc screen? oh and heres the cheapest way i know how to but dont wanna have to do it : http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000ZH98LU?colid=KL6J7FBLNXKN&coliid=I5CK7L3KMW7AK&psc=1&ref_=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl

no i dont have hdmi on my pc.

and i also have 2 connections on the back of my pc that are each a 15 pin connection. (what are they? i cant see back there.). and i have some kind of round connection back there. i dont know what that is. i also have 1 or 2 rectangular connections that are for something about the size of a usb plug , but with rounded corners on the metal cover there. i learned froma webpage of computer connections those rectangular ones dont do any of what i need done.

ohhhh, was that round pc connection an analog connection? well if it is then how do i convert my tv from digital to analog on just the part thats for the pc stuff to be seen and heard on my tv?

It would probably have a pair of RCA jacks on back of the tv if it has them at all. The single hole may be S-video if the tv is older but I don't think that can carry sound either. S-video splits the color bands and reassembles them at the destination end of the cable. If the motherboard has SPDIF output you could run it to a stereo receiver and then run RCA cables to the tv, if the tv has jacks for that. List the motherboard brand and model so I can see what options you have.

rca? i believe i learned those are the red yellow and white a/v holes. yes my tv has those on the side.

spdif? is that what i called those rectangular holes? well good. now how do i know if these go into the pc or out from it to something else?

ok, now what?

good. i just downloaded belarc adviser. hopefully that is for what i think its for.

... ok, that should be all you need to know.

Yes either of those would work. Then run RCA cables to the tv. I see no reason why that would not work.

you mean to tell me that the headphones jack can transmit video and not just audio? hhhhhhmmmm.....

No, of course not. This is just for audio. I thought you had the video working? Did I read that wrong?

no you didnt. im just tired now. lol. well ill have to look around because the adapter i picked that you showed me was only 6 inches long.

ill buy that.

now i need an extention cable because this device is only 8 inches long.
