Question Get High-end or mid-tier but upgrade later

So 4k 144Hz is definitely the next big step but they cheapest one costs a whopping 1000 USD. Do you think it's better to get a cheaper (250-ish) monitor now and upgrade in 3-4 years or just pay up right now?

Sure can go very high with 2070/2080 and DLSS on.
But that's actually my problem, should I just get a cheaper model and upgrade to 4k 144Hz whenever I got a GPU that can get close to 144Hz or is it more cost effective to just buy a XV273K right now?

4k is tbh impractical atm, to get 4k with 144fps is nearly impossible unless you tone settings down which in that case you are better of with ultra settings on a 1440p monitor (it would look far better than mixed med-high settings on 4k).
2x 2080Ti cant even get most games past 120fps tbh with very high - ultra settings. not to mention most games dont like dual gpu setups.

save your money and get a 144hz 1440p monitor is my take on your problem.
