get ie back into programs

Can't open internet explorer. Don't see any ie program in programs

Do you have your "system restore" active with this installation?
If so, restore to a date before you messed up!
If not, then this could be a bit of a journey.
Respond ASAP!

You might have to do a re-install... So I would first move anything that is important to an external drive where it is safe.
Next, close and remove that drive.
Put your dvd of windows in and do a re-install over the existing partition and see what that does.
I believe there are options for repair or replace. Can't remember because I haven't had to do this in many years!
There are many sites that tell you to get rid of IE and install their software, but I don't see the difference in that you are adding all the other browser crap from them!
I have no problem with IE as I keep tight control of what goes on with where I go and what cookies I allow!
