Get Lenovo Y540 Core i7-9750H or wait for 10th generation core i7?

Hello geeks,

I'm from Egypt, so, laptops availability is not always guaranteed.

I'm getting a new gaming laptop for my kids. I have searched a lot and finally settled on this one:

• Lenovo 81SX007NED Legion Y540-15IRH Laptop
• 15.6 Inch FHD
• Intel Core i7-9750H
• 2TB HDD and 512 GB SSD
• 16 GB RAM
• NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 6GB GDDR6

I frankly don't know when 10th gen core-i7 Y540 or Y740 will be available in Egypt due to the current circumstances, so I don't know if it is worth the wait or not.

So, my question is: should I wait? if yes, is the performance gain worth the wait assuming that I will get a good CPU, not a midrange one?

P.S: The extra money for the 10th gen is not a problem.

I have been searching in Egypt for days about Lenovo 81SX007NED as you mentioned, but unfortunately it is not available anymore. Do you know where to find this laptop with the same specs as you wrote?
Btw it is not available on Amazon or any other international platform.

I am from Egypt too, I going to buy the Y540 gtx 1660 ti one with the same CPU , I guess 10 th generation wont make a real difference, and I am sure that it wont have the same laptop design like Y540 with a great cooling temprature anyways its your choice
