Get new PC or stay with existing

hi,

My current rig from Dec 2011

i5 2500k @ 3.3 (stock)
8GB ram
win 7 64 bit
GA-Z68XP-UD3
Antec EarthWatts 750W

Just recently my Gigabyte GTX 570 died on me. I wasn't planning on upgrading anything until now. I'm just confused whether i should just get a complete new system OR just replace the 570 with a newer card - was thinking GTX 770, but was worried my CPU may bottleneck it

Another thought was to buy a 660 for a cheap price and use it for the time being until next year or so.

Also, I got the 'k' CPU model because there wasn't a huge price difference compared to the 2500 so i thought why not..just in case anyone was wondering why i haven't overclocked it(no experience and afraid i may cause damage)

Any advice is much appreciated.

The CPU is still a very solid chip. Stick with everything and just replace the graphics card.

As above, its still a very good chip. I'd have no concerns about using a 770 in your rig ... that said ... maxwells
