You would think that someone that spends as much time on a computer as the
average gamer would have at least a rough idea of how usenet works, and if

Mine doesn't either. The correct way to handle this is to put [HL1] or
[HALF-LIFE-1] or [HL2] or [HALF-LIFE-2] in the subject line, and then
people can filter out whatever they don't want to read. [OT] is helpful
when posting irrelevant nonsense, similarly.
