Get 'Reboot & select proper boot device' error message when booting from win 7 DVD

I have recently built a gaming computer, i downloaded windows 7 and burnt JUST the ISO file onto a dvd-rw disc using windows explorer. Although when i boot PC i get the error message 'Reboot and select proper boot device or insert media into the selected boot device' I have checked and the dvd drive is the boot device in the BIOS. Any idea what could be causing this issue? I think i remember something on the BIOS about windows 8, which i found strange..

may be a possibility that file is not in dvd.check for another dvd.[error in dvd.]that's why message.

?check if Setting the BIOS to run in legacy mode not UFFI mode, see if it helps?
