So as a followup to this post : http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/answers/id-3649293/xfx-rx580s-died-ideas.html
I bought a brand new EVGA Supernova 750 G3. Now I am looking for a used GTX 980 and I'm about to close a deal on one. The thing is that I am afraid of putting it to my PC since I already killed 2 brand new RX580s and there is no warranty on the used one. Any suggestions on what should I do?

I thought about testing it on a friend's PC first but no one that I know of has a strong enough PSU to handle the GPU.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

New PC specs :

Question from chris_taf : "Should I get a used GTX 980?"

I had 2 brand new RX580s that died on me, after suggestions of the community I got a new EVGA supernova 750 G3 PSU and I am about to close a deal on a used GTX 980 for 320$.

I am sceptical that my PSU was not the problem and I can use another opinion on if I should buy the GTX 980.

keep in mind that the card has no warranty.
