When I go into manage my devices and go into the drive it only shows me 1.98TB. It's formatted to GPT but doesn't show the rest of my storage. I know Windows 7 can't read anything over 2TB but I know you can make a partition somehow so it does. I've tried going into my BIOS as well but cannot find a place to edit the storage. Can anyone shed some light? Thanks

If it is already formatted to gpt then win 7 should support the 4TB drive just fine.

You can use Easeus or Paragon disk tools to resize the partition from 2 TB to 4TB.
Is this your boot drive or a second storage drive.

Windows 7 can do a 4tb just fine for a second drive.
If it is boot drive then you will need to do 2 2TB partitions.

You can do partitions from device manager.
If you google "Create partition winodws 7" you will find many links with instructions on how to do so.

I have an SSD that has WIndows 7 on it. The only thing on the 4Tb right now is steam games.
