Specs first
Motherboard is a foxconn 2abf came in an hp shell

Old CPU Intel G630
New CPU Intel i7-2600k

After putting in the new CPU, upon pressing power I got no display some fans and 5 repeating beeps, tried to put the g630 back in, got the same results.

Solution
Have you checked the motherboard for any damage?

You should closely inspect the CPU socket for any bent pins.
Is the 4 pin EPS 12V CPU power connector plugged in properly?

5 beeps on AMI BIOS = CPU error

Hi Thanks for responding sorry for the late response I saw your message and went to inspection mode, found that the RAM I had placed into the slots didn't like my system, replaced them some crucials and it booted just fine.
Then I find an oddity my system is supposed support dual channel for the ram and in CPU-Z it shows the ram there but the BIOS only shows one memory, I experimented to see if a ram slot had went bad, running one 2gb stick in each slot to see if it'd boot. Both slots booted the system, so what am I missing here with the ram? or rather to boil my questions down,

What can I do to access all of my ram?

Knowing that it's server ram, Can my system run it?

System currently same as above HP pro 3400 MT running the i7 with a PNY 560 GTX ti(had this detached while testing.)

So, your 4GB of RAM are detected in windows but not your BIOS?
If yes, are all 4GB usable in Windows?

If they are, you could try clearing CMOS by pulling the battery our for 15-20 minutes... it might be the BIOS somehow not reporting it correctly.
