First be sure you have the nic set to auto. You can then look at the status and see what speed it connected at. That 90 number is very telling, it generally means the cable is connecting at 100mbps.
Speed/duplex is mostly a hardware function there are almost no software or driver issues that can cause these problems.
You either have a bad port in your pc or your router or it is a bad cable. You hope it is not a bad port because you can't fix that. Ethernet cables are very strange they can work on some machines but not others. Some machines tolerate a ethernet cable that does not meet the standards more. Your best option is to try a new cable since the alternative is replacing the port. Be sure to use cat5e or better...
