i was wondering what would be the better brand to get if im getting a 480?

and i got a haf 922 case the 933 is certified for sli of it what would you put on the side of it as far as a fan goes to make it

above is my case

im thinking evga is the way to go from what ive seen so far they have two different ones that are real close
whats the difference? Also evga has a lifetime warranty right?

Also if I was looking to oc the card would a certain brand or model # be better then the other?

Can't help you with the case I'm only familiar with the full-size HAF X and HAF 932.

EVGA is a great brand, and ever since my 6800 they are the only brand I have used.

I guess I'd go with this one even though its overclocked because WITH the mail-in rebate its just as cheap as the non-overclocked version, plus the lifetime warrenty is much better then the 2 year warrenty.

Normally I wouldn't recommend it, but its the same price. So unless EVGAs SC cersion is "worse" in overclocking it more....

true, I just rather not deal with a rebate but its up to him as both cards are equal and he can OC himself if needed.

the SC version comes with "Just Cause" but who knows what game comes with the cheaper model as it doesn't specify

Yeah, I know what you mean personally I would get the non-OC version as you said to not have to deal with the rebate. Wasn't sure if he was acutally looking to overclock the card himself, but I didn't want to give bad advice.

ya i'll probably just get the 480 with the rebate if my rma refund on my 5870 matrix rog is done in time, ya i got a 850 modular corsair hx
wish i could crossfire two of these down the line but i dont think the power supply would be enough

im just a little concerned about the heat because the reviews.. 90c is pretty high lol that is what made me not use it at first instead of the matrix but ya i'm giving in the drivers that the matrix has are pretty dang buggy atleast in my land and ive tryed two different cpu's same crap blue screens wont boot into windows etc.... lol

i saw in a few reviews that you could fit at 230 fan on the side but all i see is a 200 on newegg so im not really sure what to go with cooling wise

why not dual 460's?

can you post all your specs?

+1, if you are thinking about SLI 480 but don't think you have the power for it you could SLI 460's right now, give yourself more power then a single 480, and its cheaper.

your post makes more sense than mines in a way since both cards are priced equally, I just recommend the non-oced versions and not have to worry about the extra $$. If the OP has cash to burn and he can care less then the SC version would make perfect sense.
