Hi, I've just started building pcs and I've already come across some misfortune. The first motherboard I had came with bent pins, and now this replacement one gets no beep codes if I put ram in, and a 3 short beep (repeating) without the ram. Im not exactly sure whats happening, and I'd be gracious if anyone was willing to help. Also, I already reset the cmos (No beep codes at all before resetting cmos)

Specs:
Corsair CX430 watt builders edition
Asrock H87M Pro4
Intel Core I3-4130
PNY 1066-1333 Mhz Ram 2x4gb sticks (8gbs)
Western Digital Blue 1TB hard drive
Cougar Spike MicroAtx case

The beeps is probably telling you it cant start because there is no RAM installed. All computer need RAM to store data while running, without RAM your computer would be pretty damn slow (if it could run without it) 😀
If the default setting in the BIOS is to silent boot then if everything is fine and all POST have passed it wont sound any beeps since theres nothing wrong.

I know that the beeps are telling me that it can't start, but the thing is that when I do put the ram in, there are no beeps. It says that the code means either a bad cpu or bad memory.

No problem :) is anything being outputted to the monitor?

And if any I'd say it may be bad RAM since you are getting beeps when theres none installed, rather than bad CPU. Are you using an electrostatic wrist band? Since static electric that builds up on you could have discharged into the RAM and fried it.

I was just having issues with the monitor, but I tried a new hdmi cable and I think the correct bios is showing up and it's working. Weird that there's no beep code for working properly though. It's also registering that I have 3838MB of ram, which is correct. Thanks for the help though!
