Getting a blue screen of death after trying to install my new ATI Radeon HD 6450

I hooked it up and tried to install it but while it's installing it goes to the blue screen. I went to the website and downloaded the latest drivers. They had the windows 7 32-bit version and windows 7 64-bit and I have an x86(I think) so I just downloaded the 32-bit.
I don't know what to do.

you can find out what version of window you have by following this
control panel/system and security/system/click on windows experience rating/in the right under the big score there is a little icon that says view and print click on it/under system 4 item down it tells you what windows you have
if it was 64 bit theres your problem

It's 32 bit

i would do a clean install of windows as there is something conflicting with the instalation. did you have a different graphics card before? nvidia?
