So i have an HP omen laptop and recently i got a major bsod that forced me to reinstall windows. After reinstalling it the first time i get another bsod but this time when i attempt to repair windows i get a bcd error. My next attempt is to go to command prompt and run a bcd repair but the only way i can access the command prompt is through the windows 10usb boot. Now when i attempt to boot from Usb i am greeted with a BSOD and these BSOD errors vary from the Machine Check Exception Error, WHEA uncorrectable error, or the IRQL error. I ran memtest and hard disk test to see if any of those hardware components are corrupted by the test said they were both fine with no errors. Im stuck WHAT DO I DO?! This is a fairly new pc that i got 2 months ago so i am extremely dissapointed

My Specs:
Hp Omen 15ax250wm
Intel core i7 7700HQ 2.8 ghz
Nvidia Geforce gtx 1050ti
1288MB DDR4 SDRam

Hello xboxgamer195

One way to get to Command Prompt is:

> Boot your PC, and as Windows begins to load the files (the blue Window icon appears), press the Reset button.

> Repeat this for 2 more times.

> The third time when Windows enters into automatic repair mode, let it attempt to automatically fix the booting issues. (Many times this rectifies the problem.)

> If automatic repair couldn't fix the issue and you're displayed with the Automatic Repair window with the Shut down and Advanced options buttons, click Advanced options.

> From there, go to Troubleshoot > Advanced options, and then click Command Prompt.

Also, if you haven't checked the RAM sticks yet, please do so by removing one at a time and testing the PC.

Feel free to report back for any further assistance.

Cheers!!

Hello again

Can you please use any third-party tool like EaseUS to check for hard disk errors? Generally the CHKDSK command serves the purpose well but since the computer can't reach Command Prompt, a third-party tool may do the trick.

Cheers!! :)
