Alright, I'm on a 1000 euro budget, and I'm looking to buy a new gaming PC. What do you think of this setup:
Power : Corsair-Builder Series CX500 500W PSU 80+ Bronze
CPU : AMD-FX 4300(AM3+,3,8 GHz,8 Mb)
Fan : Standard 120mm fan
Motherboard : MSI-MB 760GMA-P34 FX (AM3/DDR3/USB3)
RAM : Corsair-DDR3 8GB Dimm 1600MHz Vengeance
GPU : Sapphire-7970 3GB OC Boost
HD : Western Digital-Caviar Blue WD10EZEX 1ΤB HDD 3.5"

What are your thoughts?

Is this a homebuilt system or one you have seen somewhere?
Which country are you in? (As prices vary) Do you have any preferred websites to shop from?

Overall, it's not a bad looking system, but it's a little imbalanced. There's a certain amount of wisdom in pumping as much money into graphics as possible, but you can go too far. Given how closely priced the FX4300 is to the FX6300 in most places, its rarely a good buy.

So what should I do differently?

Well as I said, knowing which country you are shopping in, where you are buying from, and how much stuff is costing, is pretty significant. Stuff is only good if it comes at the right price.
Additionally, your intended usage, display resolution etc is helpful.

I'm assuming this is a homebuilt system, which means you do have control over individual components, so its pretty easy to shift balance.
As I said it seems a bit graphics heavy. Without having values assigned to things its hard to be specific, but I imagine I would want to spend more on the CPU and PSU, and depending on how I wanted to use it, the motherboard.
