Getting a new hard drive, how will I get windows on it.

I'm planning to swap my current hard drive with a new 2TB one, how will I go about verifying Windows as a legit copy with my new Hard Drive?

1. Windows 10?
2. Planning on cloning from the old drive to the new, or a fresh install on the new drive?
3. How did you obtain this current Win 10?

1. Yeah.
2. I was planning on a fresh install.
3. I just installed it off a USB Drive and used my old Win 7 CD key and it verified it.

Assuming it is activated on the current system...verify this...then a clean install is no problem.

Create your own Win 10 DVD or USB here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
Disconnect all other drives
Boot from that DVD or USB you create
Install on the new drive.
When it asks for the license key, select "I don't have a product ID"
When it goes online later, it will activate itself.
