So recently my 2008 MacBook gave up on me and Apple said that it would cost me as much as a new Macbook to replace the parts so I decided to get a new Laptop.
All I need to do with the laptop is be able to video edit, DJ, Probably run Virtual machines for CTF and little bit of gaming on it(Not demanding). If I get a MacBook(any model) I have Final Cut Pro which I could install it for free. I basically get an advantage if I get a MacBook but I don't know if it's worth the price. My Budget is around 850$ Which if I have to get a MacBook then I'll have to get a used/refurbished one.
Could anyone help me out?

Solution
You will spend $600 for Sony Vegas or $20 a month for Adobe Premiere Pro. Unless you can live with Filmora $60 buy a used MacBook Pro. Otherwise you are going to compare a $250 Windows laptop against an $850 MacBook Pro.

For $850 or less. You can buy a 2013 15" Retina Macbook Pro, Core i7 (3000 or 4000 series), 16GB RAM and 256GB SSD on eBay. As RAM cannot be upgraded later. Do not be tempted by 8GB RAM models. If you are dedicated at finding a deal. You can even get one with a 512GB SSD.

If you can live with Filmora. Take a look at this MSI. You can drop a 2TB HDD in it for data storage and pump the RAM up to 16GB. It can likely go to 32GB.
