Question Getting a USB-C cable for a Surface Connect ?

theres j-go tech and manhattan options
I don't wanna pay like 150 dollars for few stupid cables i need

When charging a device, where is the correct electrical current determined?

I assume that the charger and the device both determine the correct voltage and amperage for the current
Do I really need a 40 dollar cable from these retarded brands who seem to think they're apple or can I just get any knock off aliexpress 5 dollar usb c to surface connect cable and expect it to work just as fine, as long as its rated at 15v3a?

Chargers and power banks I use/intend to purchase are obviously safe not some knock offs.

Are you looking for a cable or a charger? You asked about a cable but then were talking about charging the device. A generic USB C cable would be fine, I usually don't for the cheapest thing out there, a step or two over is good. Just keep in mind if you get something from a place like Aliexpress vs a more standard retailer that returns or exchanges are a lot harder.
