getting a windows 10 key

Hi, I just built my new pc and am about to install windows, all I need now is the license key.
I'm currently on the Microsoft website but it lets you select between download and USB English. Does it matter which one I chose? (i'm installing it from a USB)

It's a matter if you want to have a physical USB drive with Windows already on it shipped to you. What I don't know, because I've never bought the USB drive, is if it gives you the Key immediately, or if you have to wait on it to come in the USB drive that is shipped in the mail.

The download gives you the key in your email and you can use the media creation tool to create your own USB drive.

The install direct from Microsoft is different than purchasing a valid license key.

Create your own install here:

Purchase a valid OS license for whichever version you installed.
Win 10 Home is around $90.

Pay for the Download Key.

Again, the Mediacreation tool is different from the license key.

Have an 8GB USB stick handy.
Run the MediaCreation tool, and tell it where the USB stick is.

It will create a bootable Win 10 install.
You then boot from that, and install the OS on your new PC

The license key is the part that costs money. You buy this from a valid retailer.
