Hello everyone, i hope everyone had a good Christmas.

I'm not sure if this is in the correct place so please feel free to move if it isn't.

Right, so i have just been gifted an amazon firestick which i will be using to stream from, i have a dual monitor set up for my PC but obviously the amazon fire stick is on a different input so when i change channel it is up on my other monitor but the sound obviously comes out of the speakers / headphones connected to the monitor. My question is, is it possible to get the sound from my amazon fire stick to my PC so i can game / work whilst listening to the firestick on my PC headphones at the same time? is it a case of getting an audio input / ouput cable and plugging it in the monitor and PC or would a mixer be required? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

It would seem like a capture card would do the trick.

Otherwise, something like the headphone output on the monitor connected to an input, which IMO is going to be the microphone jack outside having a sound card with input. An aspect of that I am unsure of is the digital sound output (HDMI) to the analog jack?

Hopefully someone else may have done this and have some input on the how to.

HDMI is all you get. The other plug is USB charging port. I have two 4K firesticks. Streams 4k and Dolby Atmos, DDSS. You do need an AVR, at least five speaker, 7 if you have to enjoy it all. Do you need something else?

HDMI is all you get. The other plug is USB power port that comes with USB/AC. AC only if USB ports are not available. The USB only port is very thirsty for power. The USB power may be inadequate necessitating the use of the AC adapter. I have two 4K firesticks. Streams 4k and Dolby Atmos, DDSS. You do need an AVR, at least five speaker, 7 if you have to enjoy it all. I have a Denon AVR with 7.2. Two subwoofers. Do you need something else?
