On Newegg CAD there is a deal for an external hard drive: https://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?item=9SIAAMW5KM1941
What realy caught my eye was it's only 13.99 CAD and it's usually 22.99 CAD. Is it a terrible hard drive or, can I use it to back up my hard drive?

Thanks: Nathan

That's just an enclosure. You'd need to buy a 2.5" (laptop sized) HDD to go in there. What you're looking at there is an external shell (enclosure) which then has the electronics to convert a SATA connector and power (like internal hard drives use) to USB3 (like external hard drives use).

You won't find a hard drive for that sort of price. And if you're interested in capacity, usually the larger 3.5" drives will offer more space for your $
