So I purchased an i7 7700K to replace my i5 6600. My motherboard is a ASUS Z170A. I also have 16gb 3200 ram, gtx 1080. Corsair 750 powersupply. All of which work. I updated my motherboard bios to the latest version 3802. But I cannot get my I7 7700K to boot. The first time I plugged the CPU in I had multiple different issues. Sometimes I'd get to the asus automatic repair sometimes I would get to the bios, and then sometimes it would crash in bios. Sometimes it would just crash, all of which just froze the screen. needing me to restart the computer. I noticed the VGA LED red light was on. So I plugged my I5 6600 back into the motherboard and it worked flawlessly. Then I reinstalled the I7 got to the point where it said a new CPU has been detected. Then it crashed. and I am now at the point where the red light is on solid and there is no boot up.
