Getting an SSD and want to fresh install windows

I had a updated version of Windows 7 to 10 so I was wondering if I have to install the original disk first or something else to get windows 10 back again. i have an OEM version of Windows 7 btw. Thanks!

It would be really helpful if you share more details about your system configuration (PC specs). The most important thing to remember before you tamper with your storage configuration is to perform a full backup of your system and personal files somewhere off-site. This is how you will avoid any potential data loss headaches. Clean installing the OS is really easy, since it's an OEM. I'd advise you to follow the steps in this tutorial and see if it will help you get there.

If you have more than 1 SATA device (storage drive), make sure you unplug the secondary drive and leave only the booting destination (the SSD) connected to the motherboard. Otherwise you are bound to encounter the so-called OS confusion. After having the OS up and running from the SSD, plug back the secondary drive (which you have already backed up somewhere off-site), and then use the Disk management in Windows to reformat it and get rid of the old installation.

Nope, original disk is not necessary anymore.
Get windows 10 installation media and install windows 10
(choose version you had before - pro or non pro, wrong one will not activate)
