Getting bad fps in a lot of games including minecraft on a good pc!

I do not know when this started, but I am getting really bad fps in games like minecraft and battlefield 4 on low settings and every game but LoL. I do not even know what to do anymore, I even updated my drivers but am still getting bad fps. Someone help me fast plz this is really making me mad.

CPU: AMD FX 9370 4.4 ghz
GPU: ASUS DirectCU 2 OC R9 290
PSU: AZZA Titan 1000 watt PSU
RAM: 8GB
Motherboard: ASUS Crosshair V Formula-Z AM3+ AMD 990FX SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard
CPU cooler: Cooler Master Seidon 240M

how are the temps?

check the temperature of both cpu and gpu while on full load. the heatsinks might be dirty or you have a broken fan or something. or not enough airflow inside the case
