Hi everyone, I am dealing with an issue where my games keep crashing and my monitor keeps black screening for a few seconds and occasionally I will get a blue screen system crash. I have a Ryzen 9 7900x and a Radeon 7900xt graphics card. I want to preface by saying that I have updated chipset, clean installed gpu drivers and looked at gpu/cpu temperatures at or around crash times. This is my first build and I am struggling very hard with it as it is black screening very often (I hear a clicking sound coming from pc and then main monitor restarts and comes back on after a few seconds). It also occasionally blue screens playing games like call of duty, and crashes very often on call of duty. I am still able to hear and play video games while the monitor is black. Any troubleshooting advice would be greatly appreciated, I am still a novice when it comes to PC building and wouldn't be suprised if it was something simple. Thanks in advance, HAGO!

The clicking sound from the PC, I assume this is a physical click like a relay clicking on and off? Any chance you could locate the sources of the sound, like GPU or PSU? It would go a long way to identifying a possible problem.

The other suggestion would be to underclock the GPU a little to see if that helps. Open the Adrenaline software, Performance tab, next row down click on "tuning", select manual tuning to custom. Scroll down to GPU and again select manual tuning to custom, enable GPU tuning and slide the Max Frequency slider down a few percent and apply changes.

I used to face this problem a lot, where my display would cut to black, and then the system will restart eventually. I claimed RMA for my GPU thinking it was the problem, only for the same issue to still happen. Turns out it was an issue with the power supply, try using a different power supply to see if this issue persists.

Did you enable EXPO for your RAM in the BIOS? The reason I ask, I built my first AM5 system a couple of months ago and was having similar issues with games crashing/black screening constantly whenever I had the EXPO setting enabled but ran fine at 4800hz stock settings. It took a few BIOS updates from ASUS before I could run it at 6000hz.
