Getting blue screen when inserting USB and removing.

Recently, around yesterday or today I received a blue screen when I inserted my USB flash drive, I panicked because I know blue screen ain't good news at all, so today I did some things because my computer wouldn't recognize another flash drive (same model as mine, conflict could've occured) so I was removing my Mouse usb and keyboard and un-installed most of the universal bus drivers and including the keyboard and mouse now the blue screen occurs each time I put my USB

Time to reinstall windows, but know that it might be a motherboard short as well.
