[SOLVED] Getting desperate here! Error with Windows Installation on SSD

I have formatted the drive as GPT, made sure to mess with BIOS SATA and boot settings, I tried default BIOS settings, I have disabled hard disk protection, and yet I still get this error on my brand new SSD: "Windows cannot be installed to this disk. This computer's hardware may not support booting to this disk. Ensure the disk's controller is enabled in the computer's BIOS menu."

Only thing I can think of now is my motherboard and SSD could be incompatible, but that doesn't make much sense to me. Here's my motherboard: https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-970A-UD3-rev-30#ov
Here's the SSD:

Any suggestions? I'm getting pretty frustrated and desperate.

Try a fresh image and/or another USB drive.
Tried new USB image, fiddled with some settings and got the image on the SSD successfully. Problem is, the system will not use the SSD to boot. I keep getting the "Reboot and select proper boot media OR Insert Boot Media in selected boot device and press any key" error now.

Do you have the motherboard's User Manual?

I found the following link:

https://download.gigabyte.com/FileList/Manual/mb_manual_ga-970a-ud3_v.3.x_e.pdf

Do verify that the link does indeed match your motherboard and revision number

(Note - download was very, very slow for me.)

Use the documentation to doublecheck the BIOS configuration and overall hardware/component installation.
Thanks for sticking with me so far. I read through the manual. My SSD reads to my motherboard as a non-UEFI device, so I’ve reformatted it as MBR, gotten windows on it and used legacy booting but still nothing. :(
