[SOLVED] Getting Epson xp-340 to resume after poweroutage

My Epson printer is near the modem at the other end of the house from my PC and tablet. I want to use a smart plug so that I can turn it on and off remotely.
My brother laser works perfectly via smart plug, but the Epson still needs someone to press the ON button after turning smart plug on.
Is there any way to set the Epson to power on automatically once it has power?

Probably not since the smart plug fully shuts things off and the device will need a special setting to turn on when it senses power. Look through the manual and options on the printer but a cheaper inkjet is not likely to have such a feature.
