Hi. Got a new computer and used my LED tv connected to the motherboard vga since I dont have a discrete gpu. And im getting this moving grainy lines. Here are the list of the things i have done so far.

1. Interchange the ends of vga cable still the same issue.
2. Bought new monitor still the same issue.
3. Used different monitor and vga cable (tried original vga cable as well) but still the same issue
4. Installed discrete GPU in the system and used only my original vga cable and still the same thing.

Hoping its not a board issue.

Try borrowing a HDMI to VGA cable, I had that issue and nothing helped except for that adapter. It was 23 euros where I live. Also the con of that adapter is that you'd need a USB slot for the adapter to charge itself, permanently.

noidea_77 = my monitor only accepts VGA and i dont have spare cable or adapter to use. im thinking it be a waste to but those just for troubleshooting. already updated my on board graphics to the latest version still the same issue. as per resolution its 1366x768 changing it still the same result.

excelletrox = dont have someone who has those type of cable. buying it i think wud be a waste since my not sure if it would resolve the issue.

Just a though what are the chances of it being a board problem?

Could always ask in the same store about the issue and if they have the adapter I mentioned to borrow you for a test. It could be poor signal from a high end GPU to an old monitor, which the adapter can help resolve.

It could be anything really... A faulty board, gpu, vga cable, too old vga monitor with a new gpu combo, electronic devices near it. I myself have a really old BenQ vga monitor and an R7 370 4 GB GPU, it was either buying a new monitor or a 22 euro adapter. Adapter solved it for me and I also got good uses for it when I connect my old consoles to my TV.

so its more on the signal that being passed from ur system unit to the monitor. since it got better using a digital cable? so using a high end cable or a more modern type of cable would help fix the issue?

I can't promise you that. My issue might not be the same you have. That's why I told you to ask that shop to borrow hdmi to vga adapter for testing. I'm in a small town and I know all the shop owners so one gave me the adapter for testing before I bought it. But yes, it did fix the issue. Do I know 100% what was the issue? No. It might be the VGA connectors on my GPU that are bad, so using a HDMI port resolves it. The VGA cable is good cause I tested it on my 2nd pc, so it's 50/50%. 😀

That's the right setting! I don't have an analog screen connected, so I can't look up how to change the mode to 59Hz, but it's somehow possible.
